Ingredients

  • 3 cups Woods Ear Mushrooms
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 tsp Almond Extract
  • -1/2 + 1/4 cup Sprucetip sugar see recipe

Instructions

  • Dehydrate sliced woods ear mushroom.
  • Bring water , sugar, and almond extract to a boil.
  • Place dehydrated woods ear mushroom in with liquid and bring to a simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  • Strain and let woods ear dry on a towel for 30 minutes.
  • Toss in sugar.
  • Place bag in dehydrated for 6 hours at 155 degrees.
  • Lightly toss in 2 tablespoons of Sprucetip sugar.
  • Store in a jar with paper towel at bottom.
